Frequently asked questions
Answers about appointments, costs, testing and follow-up.
Is this a good fit if I already have a primary care provider?
Yes. A focused video visit can complement your usual care for a common, non-emergency concern. Ongoing management begins only when you and Robert agree on a plan. Explore Services.
What if I do not have a primary care provider?
You can still request a visit for a concern suited to this practice. For ongoing primary care, browse community health-center resources without registering or paying for a visit.
What if I prefer to see a physician?
Visits at Carroll Health & Wellness are with Robert Carroll, a board-certified family nurse practitioner. If you prefer a physician, the practice can help you arrange a separate appointment with an outside physician through Zocdoc. The outside practice confirms its own availability, fees and insurance arrangements.
What does the $123 fee cover?
Your assessment and care plan, appropriate prescriptions, orders and notes, routine paperwork related to your visit, and review and follow-up of results from tests and scans Robert orders. Actual medicines, testing and outside care cost extra. Full costs and inclusions.
Is there a membership fee?
No. There is no membership or subscription fee. Each separately agreed consultation is $123. Visit fees.
Can I use insurance?
Consultations are self-pay; Carroll Health & Wellness does not accept or bill insurance. The practice does not offer consultations to people enrolled in Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid or NJ FamilyCare, including self-pay visits. Outside laboratories, pharmacies and imaging centers may bill insurance separately, subject to their policies and your coverage. Read the payment and insurance policy before requesting a visit.
How long is a visit?
Visits are scheduled for 15 minutes. Robert may allow additional time when needed to complete the discussion and establish clear next steps, without an added fee. About your visit.
Can I request a specific test or scan?

Can Robert order my mammogram?
Yes, when clinically appropriate. Robert reviews and communicates the report and helps direct further evaluation when needed. Mammograms are performed by outside providers. Breast & Cervical Screening.
How will I get my test results?
Robert reviews results from tests he orders. Reviewed normal results are shared through your portal; abnormal results or needed follow-up prompt direct contact. If a result is missing, contact the practice rather than assuming it is normal. Results and follow-up details.
Is my appointment confirmed when I send a request?
